WAR ON LEAKS RECRUITMENT ADVANCES AS UGU MOVES CLOSER TO PROJECT ROLLOUT
Ugu District Municipality’s War on Leaks Project is gaining momentum, with the recruitment process now progressing towards its final stages following an overwhelming response from communities across the district. More than 5,000 applications were received after the Municipality opened the opportunity to eligible residents, reflecting the strong interest generated by the initiative.
Following the application stage, a written assessment was successfully conducted as part of the recruitment and selection process. The Municipality has since progressed to the next phase, with the Human Resources Department currently contacting successful candidates who have advanced through the process. This progress marks an important milestone towards the rollout of the War on Leaks Project, which seeks to strengthen efforts to reduce water losses while creating meaningful opportunities for residents of the Ugu District.
The Municipality remains committed to administering the recruitment process in a fair, orderly and transparent manner, in accordance with the required recruitment procedures.
