MUNICIPALITY ANNOUNCES THE APPOINTMENT OF A NEW GENERAL MANAGER: CORPORATE SERVICES
Ugu District Municipality is pleased to announce the appointment of Ms. Makhosi Gobhozi as General Manager: Corporate Services, effective 1 November 2025.
The appointment follows a rigorous and transparent recruitment process, conducted in full compliance with municipal policies and good governance principles. The process attracted a number of highly qualified candidates, and Ms. Gobhozi emerged as the most suitable, demonstrating both strong leadership capabilities and deep institutional knowledge.
Ms. Gobhozi is a seasoned professional and one of the internally nurtured leaders within Ugu District Municipality. She began her career with the Municipality in 2008 as an Administrative Assistant and has steadily advanced through various roles, demonstrating excellence, integrity, and commitment to public service. Having recently acted in the same position, she brings a wealth of experience and an in-depth understanding of the Corporate Services environment.
Her appointment reflects the Municipality’s commitment to promoting capable leadership from within, ensuring continuity, stability, and strengthened service delivery.
