CORPORATE SERVICES STRENGTHENS TEAMWORK AND SERVICE DELIVERY

Ugu District Municipality’s Corporate Services Department held a successful departmental meeting at the Ugu Sports and Leisure Centre, bringing together employees from Human Resources, Fire and Disaster Management, Fleet Management, ICT, and Administration and Auxiliary Services.

The interactive engagement created an open platform for employees to share ideas, successes and operational challenges while identifying practical ways to strengthen the department’s day-to-day operations.

Discussions focused on key organisational matters including time and attendance, cybersecurity, fleet management and POPIA compliance, reinforcing the Municipality’s commitment to accountability, good governance and an efficient administration.

The General Manager: Corporate Services Ms Makhosi Gobhozi, encouraged greater teamwork and collaboration, emphasising the important role employees play in supporting the Municipality’s service-delivery mandate.

The Municipal Manager, Mr V O Mazibuko reiterated that a committed, accountable and well-supported workforce remains central to building a high-performing municipality and delivering improved services to the communities of Ugu.

The engagement demonstrated Ugu’s continued commitment to empowering employees, strengthening internal systems and working together for better service delivery.
