​At the sitting of the Ugu District Municipality Council meeting held yesterday, 28 June 2018, a member of the Executive Committee, Cllr Phumlile Mthiyane was duly elected as the new Deputy Mayor of Ugu District.The election of Cllr Mthiyane as the new Deputy Mayor was actioned after the District has been without a Deputy Mayor since March 2017 after the then Deputy Mayor was elected as the new Mayor.
